Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've always wanted to get a robot vacuum, now's your chance. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its most significant advancement is an obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning times and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop with your voice.
Its design is a step above the competition with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It even could catch small gravel and sand that other robots couldn't do. It did all of this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.
Although it's not as smart as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The j7+ is still a solid option for those who need both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's hard to determine if the update is actually working until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors, a hybrid is the best option. These robots come with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not disappoint. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it lacks some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuums often fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is excellent, with few misses along walls and in corners.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled with a handful of buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is relatively easy. It features a large LCD screen, which is useful in setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for most people, but it's one that will help you keep the track of the maintenance intervals for your robot with ease.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.
It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and is able to be concealed when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to do this.
And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's the only robovac I've tried that does a good job picking up debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. smart vacuum cleaner and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does everything.
If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. Many eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers an identical experience on the app with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of making robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's easy to setup, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock close to a power outlet and plenty of room to allow it to move around however.
The G30 is a tiny device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it will be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The most important aspect that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to create a picture of the immovable items in its path. It keeps track of the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its base and resumes cleaning from where it began.
The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It has a larger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 however is less expensive and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be empty as often and has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
